funding news

Quick Facts

Happi Planet, a Mumbai-based sustainable home care startup, has raised $2 million (₹18 crore) in a funding round led by Fireside Ventures and Prath Ventures.

The company develops plant-based cleaning and hygiene products across laundry, kitchen, and surface care categories.

All products are made with 100 % plant-derived actives and packaged in plastic-reducing, paper-based formats.

The funding will be used to expand product categories, strengthen brand positioning, and scale marketing and hiring initiatives.

Founded by consumer goods industry veterans, Happi Planet aims to disrupt India’s home care sector with eco-conscious alternatives to mass-market brands.

The startup claims its packaging reduces up to 90 % of plastic waste compared to conventional liquid cleaning products.

This round brings Happi Planet’s total funding to approximately ₹27.75 crore ($3.1 million) since inception.

The company plans to widen its retail presence across online marketplaces and offline stores to reach a broader consumer base.

Investor interest reflects the rising demand for sustainable, homegrown consumer brands in India’s growing D2C ecosystem.

Happi Planet’s strategy focuses on affordability, environmental impact, and everyday usability to build mass appeal in eco-conscious households.
