Ripple raises $500M at $40B valuation to scale RLUSD and prime services

Ripple has raised $500 million in a strategic investment round, bringing its valuation to $40 billion.

The funding will support expansion of its RLUSD stablecoin, institutional prime brokerage, custody services, and corporate treasury solutions.

RLUSD has already reached over $1 billion in market capitalization and is being used for collateral and corporate liquidity management.

Ripple’s payments network has processed more than $95 billion in transaction volume, positioning it as a bridge between crypto infrastructure and traditional finance.

Investors in the round include Fortress Investment Group, Citadel Securities, Pantera Capital, Galaxy Digital, Brevan Howard, and Marshall Wace.

Founded in 2012, Ripple has evolved from a remittance-focused company into a full-stack digital-asset infrastructure provider for enterprises.

The funding reflects strong investor confidence in regulated stablecoins and crypto infrastructure amid an increasingly favorable U.S. regulatory environment.

Ripple plans to use the capital to accelerate product development, expand corporate adoption, and strengthen compliance and regulatory efforts globally.
